Missions of the AGONZIN-KALANGO Collection

The AGONZIN-KALANGO Collection is an organic enterprise of intellectual, strategic and civilizational refoundation. It aims to publish books and rebuild a conceptual foundation able to support African governance, diplomacy, economics and collective imagination over the long term.

1. Mission of conceptual refoundation of African politics

The AGONZIN-KALANGO Collection first pursues a fundamental mission: rebuilding the categories through which politics is thought in Africa. It seeks to restore the continent’s capacity to produce its own concepts, institutional grammars and interpretive frameworks. The aim is not only to analyze African realities, but to think them from within, by rehabilitating intellectual sovereignty as a prerequisite for political sovereignty. In this way, the Collection operates as a laboratory for conceptual rearmament, where words, doctrines and symbolic architectures are reworked to support a lucid and structured African renaissance.

2. Mission to elaborate an African doctrine of governance

Beyond theoretical reflection, AGONZIN-KALANGO explicitly aims to contribute to the emergence of an African doctrine of governance. This mission includes analyzing democratic stabilization mechanisms, conceptualizing consensus and productive disagreement, reflecting on the separation of powers, and critically studying institutional transitions. The Collection seeks to offer coherent normative frameworks enabling African states to approach reform not as imitation, but as creation rooted in their own historical and cultural trajectories.

3. Mission of strategic guidance for public decision-makers

The Collection is designed as a strategic intelligence tool serving governments, diplomats, parliaments and training institutions. It aims to provide analytical frameworks that can be mobilized in public action, support institutional arbitration, and accompany reforms. Through its interdisciplinary anchoring, it offers analyses capable of clarifying political choices, international negotiations and regional dynamics, thereby strengthening the quality of decision-making discernment in Africa.
